Updated Review on Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation!

DSC01060

Hi!! How are you today? If you have followed my blog or my Youtube channel for any real length of time you know that I am a makeup hoarder. Now, I am no where near some of the big time Youtuber-hoarder status, but I have plenty to keep me pretty busy! Having so much makeup it can be easy to forget to update you guys!

That is what today’s blog is all about! It is time to update you all on the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation!

Pros-

  1. Very pigmented!!
  2. It is matte and really works well with my oily skin!
  3. It is matte, but still has a skin like radiance!

Cons-

  1. I don’t think to reach for it often…lets dive into this a little further!

Okay, I really have nothing bad to say about this product. It does what it claims to do and is a really nice product. My one “con” is that I just don’t reach for it. I can not give you an exact reason why. The only thing that really comes to mind is that I have been enjoying light wearing foundations.

Over the last year or so I have witnessed some changes in my skin a.k.a. aging! Freaky, I know! I think that the lighter the foundation feels the younger I look. I used to love the heavy foundations like Kat Von D, but now I am really enjoying the easy breezy vibe! Now, this foundation is much lighter on the skin than Kat Von D, but still heavier than some of my other foundations.

I hardly reach for the All Nighter Foundation and when I do it is because I make myself. I even reach for my drugstore foundations more often!! That is pretty crazy. I must say the drugstore is really stepping up their game, but that is for a whole other blog!

XoXo! Talk soon!

Top Drugstore Foundation!

IMG_7254Hi Everyone! Happy Sunday! I watch a lot of Youtube video when I am bored…of course, usually about makeup..who would have guessed?! Haha. Well, anyways, I kept hearing about this foundation by Bourjois. The only issue is it is only available in Europe! How did I solve this conundrum?

It wasn’t by traveling there. I wish it were, but I did shop via Amazon! I was able to find a seller who sells European cosmetics! How cool! Deciding what I was going to try was difficult, but I decided on the Healthy Mix Foundation and the matching powder. My color is Vanilla (except for the French form).

The cool fact about this foundation is the manufacturer also produces Channel foundation! Say what?! I should say that is at least the rumor online. The quality of this product is so nice that I do believe it is true. I think for both the gel foundation and powder I spent around $30 with shipping…not bad!

The foundation is a gel with light to medium coverage that is buildable. If you prime first it works even better and with the powder over top it is perfect! It is light on the skin, it smells wonderful, and it hasn’t irritated my skin. I am obsessed!

Will I buy it again..maybe, but maybe not. I am a makeup connoisseur so I like to switch it up. I am sure I will be on to the next thing once this bottle is empty! But I truly mean when I say that it is an amazing drugstore brand. The USA needs to add this to their long list of cosmetics!

Real Techniques Brush Set Plus Some!

photo 5 editedGood Afternoon! How are you guys?! I hope well! I am excited to say that I am able to cross off one of my wish list items!  I am now the owner of a Real Techniques set! Yes! A full set! Holy cow, I am in brush euphoria. The brushes that I was using before this purchase were a little sad. The ends were falling off, paint chipping, and not as functional as they once were.

Of course, like most of my fellow makeup lovers in a dream world I would have the Sephora Collection, but sadly that is farrrrrrrrr beyond my budget. Sorry, I am not sorry that I used so many Rs. They were a necessity in that statement. Actually, it could probably use a few more. That is way too much for me to spend on brushes (it would be amazing, though). Since, I sometimes have to make smart decisions I went with the next best option, Real Techniques.

I bought these brushes from Walmart’s website, but you can find them at most drugstores. They are reasonably priced from a little under five dollars to a little over eight dollars a piece. I was actually able to ample up my collection and save money by purchasing some pre-bundled options. This also provided a nice little carrying case for optimal organization! The picture at the top of this blog is my full facial collection! I am also working on expanding my eye collection of brushes!

I wanted to do a little photo collage of my first time using the brushes! So check out below to see little snippets of how I used the brushes! I will say right now, for the price range of these brushes, I am so wonderfully surprised! They are effective, sturdy, sleek, and well designed! I would HIGHLY recommend these!

The stippling brush was soft and light in texture. It worked great for setting my cream highlight with powder for a long lasting look!

I am absolutely crazy about this blush brush. It is soft, bouncy, dense, and shaped perfectly. It is unlike any other blush brush I have used, which is a good thing. It can create a wide application or narrow because of this tapered shape.

This buffing brush is soft and dense which helps create a smooth finish. It can be applied lightly or in a buffing motion. I used it to apply my Dim Lighting finishing powder.

I did not take a picture using the small setting brush or the lip brush. I have tried both and liked them just as much as the others! I hope this helps you on your quest to finding better brushes! If you have any questions let me know! Below is the finished look. Xoxo!

Those Pesky Eye Creases!

I smile all day at my job, so I have found I’m getting more crow’s feet than I’d like to have, but at least that means I am smiling, right?! Besides the wonder of premature aging I hate the fact that these creases convince my concealer & foundation to come hangout in there…”It’ll be fun,” they said…well, it isn’t. I feel like it makes my creases so much more noticeable, like they are waving at people and yelling, “check us out!” If you’d like to see what I have found to help stop the creasing check out the video (LINK BELOW)! Also, maybe while you are at it give it a thumbs up, a comment, or a share! I’d love to hear what you think or what you do to stop your creasing problem! Talk soon!
